The Bulgarian will miss the next two weeks after sustaining a problem with his hip/upper thigh on Friday in the final shot of practice.
Mahamadou Diarra (knee) remains out but his injury is not as bad as first feared and he could be back in a month. Kieran Richardson, Ashkan Dejagah and Philippe Senderos are all back in training but will not feature tomorrow according to manager Martin Jol.
City midfielder Samir Nasri has recovered from a hamstring injury and is available to play against the Cottagers.
The Frenchman was substituted in the first half at Real Madrid on September 18 and missed last weekend's draw with Arsenal and the midweek League Cup defeat to Aston Villa.
Jack Rodwell is missing however after injuring his groin in the warm-up before the Villa match. Right-back Micah Richards (ankle) is back in training but is short of fitness.

Team news ahead of Saturday evening's Premier League clash between Manchester United and Tottenham at Old Trafford (kick-off: 5:30pm).

Antonio Valencia is Manchester United's major injury concern.
The Ecuador wide-man suffered a nasty knock on his ankle at Liverpool last week and Sir Alex Ferguson rates Valencia as "doubtful".
Darren Fletcher and Scott Wootton are both in the United squad but are unlikely to play from the outset and Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney could start together for the first time.
Brad Friedel will return in goal for Tottenham.
Hugo Lloris will be on the bench and defender Kyle Naughton could return after missing last week's win over QPR with a foot injury he sustained against Lazio.

Patrice Evra has spoken of the fear with which the Manchester United players live under Sir Alex Ferguson, revealing that they are afraid of losing their place in the side, the Daily Mirror has reported.

Link sopcast Manchester United vs Newcastle 26/9/2012

The newspaper adds that Evra has experience of the issue himself, having been criticised for his performances last season despite retaining his place. The Mirror adds that the France international was saved by the lack of a long-term replacement in the United squad throughout the last campaign, but this summer United signed Dutch defender Alex Buttner, who has already been selected over Evra in his short Old Trafford career.

Evra said: “If you don't play well you could quite easily not be playing. There are a lot of players and it's difficult for [Ferguson] to pick his 11 players. That's good. Maybe last year there wasn't big enough competition on every part of the pitch. But now everyone has to play their best because, if you don't, you will be on the bench. That applies to everyone. We all have to play better.

Buttner was given the nod over Evra for the visit of Wigan Athletic to Old Trafford, with the new boy impressing on his debut and getting on the score sheet as well, netting the fourth goal in a comprehensive 4-0 win over the Latics. Buttner is expected to start for United in the Capital One Cup clash with Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Man city vs Aston Villa 01h45 26/9/2012

Man City đang trải qua một quãng thời gian kém cỏi.

Man City liên tiếp nhận kết quả nghèo nàn

- Man City: Maicon, Richards và Milner chấn thương

Man City: Pantilimon; Zabaleta, Kolo Toure, Nastasic, Kolarov; Scapuzzi, Razak, Rodwell, Sinclair; Tevez, Guidetti
Aston Villa: Given; Lowton, Clark, Vlaar, Bennett; N'Zogbia, Westwood, El Ahmadi, Holman; Bannan, Bent
Dự đoán: 2-0

Team news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash between Chelsea and Stoke at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea expect Oscar to be fit but Daniel Sturridge once again misses out.
Oscar's sensational full debut was marred by an ankle injury after he was trodden on by Leonardo Bonucci during the Blues' Champions League game against Juventus on Wednesday night.
Sturridge missed that match and it is unclear exactly when he will return, while fellow hamstring injury victim Marko Marin is edging closer to making his debut.
Stoke will be without suspended defender Andy Wilkinson.
Wilkinson starts a three-match ban after the Potters accepted the violent conduct charge brought against him by the Football Association over an incident in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Manchester City where he caught Mario Balotelli in the face with an elbow.
Midfielder Jamie Ness could return having been back in training after his groin injury.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will bring back all his big names for Sunday's game.
Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger, Joe Allen and Martin Kelly were all rested for Thursday night's 5-3 Europa League win at Young Boys but will return as the Reds go looking for their first Premier League victory of the season.
Forwards Fabio Borini and Raheem Sterling, substitutes in Switzerland, are likely to start while midfielder Jonjo Shelvey pressed his claims for inclusion with a two-goal second-half cameo.
Manchester United winger Ashley Young will miss out after being ruled out for a further two to three weeks with knee cartilage trouble.
Wayne Rooney will also be absent due to a gashed thigh despite reports he was due to make an earlier-than-expected comeback.
Darren Fletcher, who came on as a substitute in the Champions League win over Galatasaray in midweek having recovered from a chronic bowel condition, is not being considered for a return to the starting line-up with Sir Alex Ferguson instead pin-pointing next Wednesday's Capital One Cup clash with Newcastle.

Link sopcast Bayern Munich vs Valencia 19/9/2012

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has targeted top spot in Champions League Group F as they prepare for Wednesday's clash with Valencia.

Bayern, beaten last season in the final by Chelsea on a penalty shoot-out at their own Allianz Arena, are hoping to go one better this time round.
Germany international Lahm told the TZ newspaper: "The goal must be to progress as group winners.
"It will be difficult but tomorrow the fun begins against Valencia.
"They are a top team that almost always plays in the Champions League so they are just behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.
"It will be a real test and certainly they are the toughest opponents in the group."
Bayern new-boy Javi Martinez will be hoping to get his first start following his 40 million euros move from Athletic Bilbao last month.
The Spaniard has come off the bench in the Bundesliga wins against Stuttgart and Mainz but could make his Champions League bow against a team he knows well.
"I've never played in the Champions League before and it's an important match for us," he told the club's official website.
"Bayern made it to the final last season, and we're among the favourites for the competition, so we obviously want to make a successful start.
"I know their team very well and I've played them quite a few times. They'll definitely push us hard because they have a great team.
"They're very balanced, they have plenty of pace, they put opponents under pressure, and they're very well set up tactically."
Valencia striker Roberto Soldado is expecting a tough encounter in Bavaria.
"If there is a favourite, then it is them because of the level that they showed last year in the Bundesliga and in Europe," he said.
"They are a very strong team, but we are going there to do everything possible in order to take the win."
Valencia drew at Real Madrid on the opening day of the Spanish season and were narrowly beaten 1-0 at Barcelona earlier this month despite an encouraging display at the Nou Camp.
Spain international Soldado added: "The important thing is to start well, although we know that they are hard to beat at home.
"Bayern are a team who are on a par with Real Madrid and Barcelona - against whom we have already played (this season) - and we are going to try and respond in the same way in Munich."

Link sopcast Barca vs Spartak Moscow 19/9/2012

Spartak Moscow coach Unai Emery is preparing to face one of the toughest teams in the world in the Champions League clash against Barcelona.

The Russian side travel to the Nou Camp in a tricky opening Group G fixture against the four-time European champions which will be new Barca coach Tito Vilanova's first test in the competition.
If Emery can lead his side to victory over Barcelona it will be the first time he has engineered a win over the Spanish giants in his career, following several attempts with Primera Division side Valencia, who he coached between 2008 and earlier this year.
The Spaniard, who made the switch to Spartak in May, knows what to expect from the star-studded Barcelona side, who are unbeaten in 16 European home outings dating back to October 2009.
"I am overjoyed to play Barcelona because they are one of the best three teams in the world, if not the best," Emery told www.marca.com.
"There is the added difficulty of dealing with them but there are more positive than negative things about facing Barcelona. We have to enjoy it."
Lionel Messi started from the bench in Barcelona's comfortable 4-1 win over Getafe last weekend and is expected to come back into the starting side, with striker David Villa also in contention after he scored in that game as a substitute.
Messi refuses to take anything for granted but is still setting his sights on making the final at Wembley next May.
He told the club's official website: "I don't think there are easy groups in the Champions League, I think all the opponents are complicated.
"It seems like some groups are more complicated than others but it's all decided on the pitch.
"You have to play the matches first, we know from experience that every team can make it complicated for you, they are difficult games."
Andres Iniesta, winner of UEFA's Best Player in Europe Award, added: "Wembley is important to Barcelona because we won two Champions League trophies there.
"There's still a very long road ahead of us. Football today is so balanced out that's it pretty difficult to make it into the final and win it, but we take it with anticipation."

Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the opening match of their Champions League defence at home to Italian champions Juve.
John Terry and John Obi Mikel shrugged off knocks picked up in Saturday's goalless Premier League draw at QPR, while Marko Marin (hamstring) was still working his way back to full fitness.
Juan Mata has returned to the fold after being given a complete rest from the start of the international break.

Jurgen Klopp is ready to put his side's European woes behind them as they start their Champions League campaign

After crashing out of the Europa League in the group stages two years ago, Dortmund's return to the Champions League ended in equally embarrassing circumstances with only one win and a draw from six group matches last term.

Link sopcast Malaga vs Zenit 19:45 GMT + 1 18/9/2012

Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini wants more of the same from his side against Zenit St Petersburg in their first-ever Champions League match.

Malaga, who earned only their second tilt at European football after finishing a club-record fourth in La Liga last season, play host to Zenit St Petersburg on Tuesday on the back of a run of four wins and two draws from their six competitive fixtures so far this campaign.
That has come despite the backdrop of the Spanish club's well-publicised financial problems and Pellegrini has urged his players to carry on what they have been doing.
"The most crucial thing we can do tomorrow is to play exactly like we have been doing," he said.
"The excitement and euphoria surrounding this game is felt by all the fans and the entire city.
This is the first time we've played in the Champions League, and the team is completely focused on this match.
"We need to beat Zenit tomorrow, and we're capable of it at home."
The other teams in Group C are seven-time European champions AC Milan and Anderlecht.
Milan and Zenit are considered favourites to top the group, with Malaga just behind, but Pellegrini insists Anderlecht should not be discounted, using the success of his former club Villarreal as an example.
"I think we also need to be careful of Anderlecht, they didn't qualify just to make up the numbers. These are three very difficult teams, as is the case in all the groups," Pellegrini said today.
"Some have bigger names than others, perhaps some have more potential or in a good moment, like Zenit - who have been Russian League champions twice, and really strengthened their squad.
"Thinking there is perhaps an easier team to beat than the rest in our group is the worst mistake we can make.
"Nobody bet on Villarreal and we got to the semi-finals and quarter-finals."
Zenit head to Spain in mixed form having picked up just four points from their last four league games, with their most recent result seeing them lose 2-0 at home to Terek Grozny on Friday.
Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti gave big-money summer signings Hulk and Axel Witsel their competitive debuts in that match, along with Renat Yanbaev.
Witsel is unavailable though due to a hamstring injury while Yanbaev is not registered.

Midfielder Abou Diaby (hip) was in the 18-man squad which left Luton on Monday afternoon, but Russian winger Andrey Arshavin missed out.

Link sopcast AC Milan vs Anderlecht 19:45 GMT +1 18/9

Milan have had a disappointing start to their Serie A campaign, suffering home defeats to newly-promoted Sampdoria and Atalanta to leave them 10th in the table, already six points adrift of defending champions Juventus.
Milan's worst home start to a season for 82 years has forced vice-president Adriano Galliani to dismiss suggestions Allegri's job could be under threat.
Allegri will be fully aware of the high expectations at the San Siro but his cause has not been helped by injuries to the likes of Robinho, Alexandre Pato and Riccardo Montolivo.
But midfielder Montolivo is back in contention for the Champiosn League Group C opener after taking a full part in training on Sunday, and Allegri has told his players they must raise themselves for the start of their European campaign.
"Let's not be victims here, now the important thing is to win the first Champions League match," he told a press conference.
"Winning is the only thing that counts in football and we haven't started well this season although we do have one more point than this time last season.
"Against Sampdoria and Atalanta we created chances up front and were punished at the back on their first chance. We have to do more, starting from tomorrow.
"The Champions League is tougher and we face a side that has plenty of European tradition. We have to be patient because sooner or later we will create chances.
"I am very hopeful because I think the team are ready to face an important game like the one against Anderlecht. We have to stay alert and facused because we will have to work hard to win the game."
He added: "I spoke to president (Silvio) Berlusconi and he was calm about the situation and is close to the team. I have a great relationship with Galliani, although the newspapers say otherwise."
Anderlecht have never won on Italian soil in 15 previous attempts, and while they will be hopeful of springing an upset they will be without the injured Matias Suarez, while Milan Jovanovic is suspended.

Link sopcast Real Madrid vs Man city 19:45 GMT 18/9/2012

Last season's Premier League champions had to settle for a 1-1 draw at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday after conceding a controversial goal and being frustrated in their late efforts to snatch a winner.

But with their three previous league visits to Stoke also ending with the same scoreline, manager Roberto Mancini was reasonably satisfied with a point that maintains an unbeaten start to the season.
The focus can now shift to the Bernabeu Stadium, and the latest attempt to muscle in among the European elite, without the hangover of a disappointing domestic result.
Mancini said: "Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world.
"To play the first game away will be very tough but at the same time I think it will be a fantastic game for everyone."
Last season's top scorer Sergio Aguero, who was linked with Real earlier this year, could return to action in Spain after a month on the sidelines.
Aguero suffered a knee injury in the opening league game against Southampton but is now back in training, although he was not risked at Stoke.
When asked if the Argentinian could be available, Mancini said: "Sergio has had one week working with the team, I think so."
City were the stronger team at the Britannia but were left with work to do after Peter Crouch again put the Potters ahead in the 15th minute.
But the strike had little in common with his stunning volley in last season's contest between the two sides, as Crouch got away with a clear handball before touching home from close range.
City got their equaliser when debutant Javi Garcia was allowed a free header at a set-piece 20 minutes later and applied considerable pressure in the latter stages.
Yaya Toure forced Asmir Begovic into a fine save before the goalkeeper did even better to push a last-minute Garcia header onto the post.
There was still time for Edin Dzeko to lob Begovic but Ryan Shawcross got back to clear off the line.
Another of Mancini's new signings, Scott Sinclair, told City TV: "It is a difficult place to come, it's a different sort of football.
"They don't really pass it around, they have a lot of big guys winning headers and the ball is in the air.
"We have got to adapt to that and it is a bit disappointing we didn't get the three points.
"But we have got the point and we can push forward and look forward to the Bernabeu."
Deadline-day signings Sinclair, Garcia and Maicon all made their debuts while another new recruit, veteran goalkeeper Richard Wright, was on the bench.
Sinclair, 23, made his name with Swansea and is now relishing the opportunity to move up to the next level with City.
The winger said: "I'm just settling now and hopefully I can progress game by game.
"I'd been waiting around and it was a long, stressful few weeks before signing but that's all gone now and I'm here and just looking to improve.
"Obviously there are a few other new players in. Everyone's just looking to settle in, get a feel for all the lads.
"Hopefully now we can keep progressing."

Jason Roberts (calf) is the only player unavailable to McDermott with all of his international players returning unscathed from their respective matches.
There had been a small doubt over the fitness of Adam Federici but the goalkeeper is likely to retain his starting place at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday.

Strikers Christian Benteke and Jordan Bowery, plus midfielder Ashley Westwood, are in contention to start against the unbeaten Swans.

Injuries and suspension will force Swans manager Michael Laudrup into a defensive reshuffle at Villa.

Ben Davies and Alan Tate are set to come into the back four with new arrival Dwight Tiendalli on the bench. Ki Sung-yueng and record signing Pablo Hernandez are also set to be named among the substitutes.
