Antonio Valencia is Manchester United's major injury concern.

The Ecuador wide-man suffered a nasty knock on his ankle at Liverpool last week and Sir Alex Ferguson rates Valencia as "doubtful".

Darren Fletcher and Scott Wootton are both in the United squad but are unlikely to play from the outset and Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney could start together for the first time.

Brad Friedel will return in goal for Tottenham.

Hugo Lloris will be on the bench and defender Kyle Naughton could return after missing last week's win over QPR with a foot injury he sustained against Lazio.

Emmanuel Adebayor (hamstring), Scott Parker (Achilles), Jake Livermore (groin), Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Younes Kaboul (both knee) are out.

Patrice Evra has spoken of the fear with which the Manchester United players live under Sir Alex Ferguson, revealing that they are afraid of losing their place in the side, the Daily Mirror has reported.

The newspaper adds that Evra has experience of the issue himself, having been criticised for his performances last season despite retaining his place. The Mirror adds that the France international was saved by the lack of a long-term replacement in the United squad throughout the last campaign, but this summer United signed Dutch defender Alex Buttner, who has already been selected over Evra in his short Old Trafford career.

Evra said: “If you don't play well you could quite easily not be playing. There are a lot of players and it's difficult for [Ferguson] to pick his 11 players. That's good. Maybe last year there wasn't big enough competition on every part of the pitch. But now everyone has to play their best because, if you don't, you will be on the bench. That applies to everyone. We all have to play better.”

Buttner was given the nod over Evra for the visit of Wigan Athletic to Old Trafford, with the new boy impressing on his debut and getting on the score sheet as well, netting the fourth goal in a comprehensive 4-0 win over the Latics. Buttner is expected to start for United in the Capital One Cup clash with Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Man city vs Aston Villa 01h45 26/9/2012

Man City đang trải qua một quãng thời gian kém cỏi.

Man City liên tiếp nhận kết quả nghèo nàn

- Man City: Maicon, Richards và Milner chấn thương

Man City: Pantilimon; Zabaleta, Kolo Toure, Nastasic, Kolarov; Scapuzzi, Razak, Rodwell, Sinclair; Tevez, Guidetti

Aston Villa: Given; Lowton, Clark, Vlaar, Bennett; N'Zogbia, Westwood, El Ahmadi, Holman; Bannan, Bent

Dự đoán: 2-0

Chelsea expect Oscar to be fit but Daniel Sturridge once again misses out.

Oscar's sensational full debut was marred by an ankle injury after he was trodden on by Leonardo Bonucci during the Blues' Champions League game against Juventus on Wednesday night.

Sturridge missed that match and it is unclear exactly when he will return, while fellow hamstring injury victim Marko Marin is edging closer to making his debut.

Stoke will be without suspended defender Andy Wilkinson.

Wilkinson starts a three-match ban after the Potters accepted the violent conduct charge brought against him by the Football Association over an incident in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Manchester City where he caught Mario Balotelli in the face with an elbow.

Midfielder Jamie Ness could return having been back in training after his groin injury.
